New Lufthansa Boarding by Groups video
In order to enable faster and more relaxed boarding, Lufthansa has implemented a procedure for group boarding on intercontinental and continental flights. The boarding group can be found on the boarding pass. Proceed to boarding only when the group is called, and have the boarding pass and all necessary travel documents ready. Passengers who check in together will be assigned to the same boarding group and can therefore board together.

Elevate your water with the new Waterdrop innovation on board of Lufthansa
On August 8, 2024, Lufthansa introduced a new innovation in the Premium Economy Class on outbound flights from Germany, aimed at making the travel experience even more pleasant for passengers. On all outbound flights, guests will find the water bottle at their seat supplemented by a waterdrop.
A Waterdrop is a small, sugar free cube that gives your water a fruity, refreshing taste and should help you stay hydrated more easily on long-haul flights. Passengers can look forward to the Waterdrop, which contains the top-selling flavor "Ice Tea Peach." This refreshing flavor gives the water a subtle and pleasant hint of peach iced tea, invigorating the senses and providing a delightful drinking experience.
Lufthansa is the first airline partner for Waterdrop, demonstrating the airline's commitment to continually offering the best to its passengers. The introduction of the Waterdrop in the Premium Economy Class is another step in this direction and underscores Lufthansa's dedication to continuously improving the travel experience for its customers.
Premium Bag Drop now also at Frankfurt Airport
After Austrian Airline successfully introduced a premium bag drop area at its Vienna hub, Lufthansa followed at Frankfurt Airport. Business Class passengers, status customers and Star Gold passengers who already have a boarding pass can now have their baggage tagged and check it in themselves at one of the Premium Bag Drop kiosks.
The premium baggage drop-off kiosks are located in Terminal 1, Departure Hall A, counter rows 254 - 285.
With the introduction of this self-service, Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa are responding to the wishes of customers who would like to have the choice of checking in their baggage with a service employee or at a kiosk.
Munich Airport Premium Bag Drop
First and Business Class travelers, as well as status customers, can now drop off their luggage at a priority baggage drop-off area at Munich Airport. Both Lufthansa hubs, Frankfurt and Munich, now offer this service, which is popular among premium guests.
The dedicated bag drop kiosks are located in Terminal 2 on Level 4, opposite the Business Class check-in area, and are marked with counter numbers 470 to 474. At the continuously staffed support counter 469, premium guests can get assistance with any questions or concerns related to their flight.
